How does Iguana facilitate your business operations?

Vyne Medical sees value in Iguana because it allows us to react quickly to our customers' needs. We will build an interface — We test it with a customer, and right there on the call while we're testing, they'll say "Can we do this?"

And within 15, 30 seconds, we can really quick, script out a fix for that thing that they want to do.

Whereas with a lot of other solutions that we've seen, it's a lot more time consuming, things aren't as easy to just quickly drop in. Plus, it lets us share modules, share code. We have well over a hundred customers that we use different Iguana instances for, and so we can make some template code and reuse that code, but then tweak it for each one, where their needs are.

What feature in Iguana do you find most useful?

The annotation window is my favorite because as someone coding, I can see what my changes are doing. I can put in a sample message that may be giving us problems and actively watch what's happening when I do this. That has saved me so much time and energy being able to just do that on the fly.

What is your experience working with the Interfaceware team?

Oh, I love the team. The Interfaceware team is very responsive, very knowledgeable. They get back to me and usually it's something I didn't remember. They have no problem getting back to me, teaching me things I didn't know.

I can remember last conference, I actually had a couple of the support guys sitting at the table with me as I worked through an active production issue that I was having, and that was just invaluable to me, to my bosses. That really put Interfaceware in a good light with our leadership because they were like, Oh yeah, they were willing to sit down and work through a production issue for you. That's amazing. And yeah, I value what you guys bring to the table.

How do you feel about the future direction of Iguana?

I am super excited about Iguana and see how it's going to change the landscape of interfaces especially at our company where we have so many. Being able to use the components separately is going to be a huge time saver for us and revolutionize how we build our interfaces. We've come from a simple, just handling day to day ADTs to building complex automation that triggers off of order scripts, or we're scheduling messages, things like that. And it's all because of what Iguana has allowed us to do.

I always joke that I'm an Iguana evangelist because I will tell it to everybody who wants to listen, they need to be using Iguana!

Integration with PACS, CVIS and EIS

How does Fujifilm use Iguana, and how many implementations do you have globally?

"At Fuji, we have different products and implementations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Australia. 

We have three different products and use Iguana for all of them: PACS, CV, and EIS.

EIS is a major one. For the CV side, we use it to implement advanced reporting. We have about 65 of those CV integrations and about 150 implementations at the EIS level. For PACS, we are using it only for encryption purposes. We just started with a couple of implementations there but want to expand the PACS product line. Iguana is a great tool."

What value does Iguana add to your organization?

"We have a very limited number of engineers on our team. So, it's very flexible and easy to implement and use Iguana, and it's also user-friendly. It adds great value to our products. Even though it's a third-party engine, it does a great job."

What has been your experience working with the iNTERFACEWARE team?

"You have a very talented staff at iNTERFACEWARE, especially in support, accounting, and development. We use them all the time whenever we need help."

What is your favourite feature in Iguana?

"We've been working with Lua code using the Translator in Iguana. The auto-completion feature is very good. Besides the auto-completion, Iguana's logging system, log tool, and dashboard are all really good and user-friendly. There are so many useful features!"

What do you like best about Iguana?

Iguana is my first introduction to software that handles HL7 messages. I like how it is focused on key software engineering principles such as scalability and interoperability, and am excited to use it more and learn more about it!

Enabling the reading and pre-processing of HL7 messages at scale

What do you like best about Iguana?

The business model is built on service! This is refreshing and puts me in the mindset to look for opportunities to engage.

We are not a number – Your team is viewed as an extension of our local resources. In today’s Customer/Vendor relationships, this is all but unheard of.

Iguana is a solid solution – With 25+ years of message processing experience in-house, Iguana is extremely stable and has handled everything we have asked of it with ease!

What do you dislike about Iguana?

I have no negative feedback. Keep doing what you are doing today, and do not lose who you are as the business grows.

What problems is Iguana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Iguana is an affordable solution with robust functionality.

What do you like best about Iguana?

Iguana is a very easy product to use, the training options and extensive knowledge base articles explain how to get started on the product. The ongoing support by the Interfaceware team is reliable and quick to reply to any needs. This is a product that works for both small companies (we started with only 3 interfaces) or huge companies.

What problems is Iguana solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a large amount of data that needs to be transformed from CSV / HL7 / Delimited into HL7 data and Iguana helps streamline the initial interface builds as well as track and fix any ongoing issues.

What do you like best about Iguana?

Reusable integration code with endpoints for https / llp / sftp and file manipulation.

Many pre-existing modules for a wide range of existing interface specifications. JSON/XML/HL7 V2/HL7 V3 (CCS) / FHIR Client APIs / http post and get libraries for any restful web services.

Integrations that can be coded once and deployed to a number of agencies with only configuration changes that drive each customer's customizations.

What problems is Iguana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reusable code with repeatable deploy processes.

What do you like best about Iguana?

The Iguana interface engine is powerful in its simplicity to provide data integration between our EMR and pharmacies, labs, clearinghouses, etc. One of the most appealing features is the ease of starting and stopping channels and the ability to review errors in a human-readable format.

What problems is Iguana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Iguana is helping us integrate our EMR product with countless interfaces. These integrations allow our customers to process thousands of HL7 messages daily without the downtime observed using other integration engines.

What do you like best about Iguana?

Iguana is easy to use and has great tools for analysis, evaluation, troubleshooting, etc.

It is hosted by the company using it, which enables both on-premise and cloud-based implementations. This is very powerful, especially for outside US implementations and minimizing regulatory and data privacy/protection requirement challenges.

What do you dislike about Iguana?

Would like to have more FHIR support and tools. Would also like the ability for Interfaceware to provide more Services. For example, to help offset company resources and enhance expertise, especially regarding EHR integration.

What problems is Iguana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Simplifying and expediting data integrations. Enables our company to be more agile and support more integrations. Also enables us to test and debug faster than was traditionally possible.
