Vitalchat Virtual Visits

VitalChat virtual visits have impacted our work by allowing our specialists at our main hospital to see patients from our second location, over an hour away. This helps prevent patients from having to schedule a visit at a different location or having our specialists make the commute. 

We onboarded Vitalchat just before the pandemic, and it has transformed how our organization delivers care. Over the years, they have been an exceptional partner, consistently adapting their technology to bring our project ideas to life.

Initially, we installed units in every inpatient room, which led to a significant reduction in falls. The platform allowed us to include distant family members in care plan meetings and connect remote specialists with our inpatients. We also utilized Vitalchat for primary care telehealth visits. The support from Vitalchat was outstanding during these implementations, with multiple site visits, including one from the CEO, ensuring a smooth rollout. Even now, we hold regular check-in meetings to maintain our collaboration.

Since our initial partnership, Vitalchat has helped us establish a telehealth cardiac rehab program, eliminating the need for patients to drive 50 miles through city traffic for care. This program has grown so significantly that we’ve had to expand into a larger space and add staff. We've also launched a telehealth rheumatology program that has experienced similar success, necessitating additional days to meet demand.

One of our sister hospitals is now using Vitalchat technology for telehealth endocrinology and dialysis.
