MediKeeper was founded in 2003 by Dr. Bruce Tarzy and George Schwartzman, and launched its first product - the Personal Health Record - in November 2004. The current, greatly expanded MediKeeper solution, benefits both the employee/user and the employer/health plan. MediKeeper believes that by offering individuals access to a comprehensive suite of personalized consumer-directed health management tools, they will become a more informed patient and more effective health care consumer. By providing detailed population reporting and analysis of gathered de-identified data, employers and health plans are better able to direct their wellness dollars to improve population health and so lower health care costs and improve ROI. The Company is privately held and funded by the Founders, Angel Investors, and Venture Capital from Pacificap International of Hawaii.
