Product Capabilities

Sickbay collects, integrates, & displays time-aligned medical device data for over 30k signals. Information is displayed to end users in near real-time (~25ms) on local and mobile devices.

Sickbay's Patient Monitor (PatMon) displays per patient waveform and EHR data alerting clinical end users based on parameters defined by the hospital. Sickbay's Multiple Patient Monitor (MultiMon) displays that same information for up to 100 patients on a single screen to support virtual monitoring at scale. Sickbay's Risk Stratification module displays risk score data customized per hospital to improve awareness of patient risk in higher acuity beds. Sickbay's Alert Queue module displays alerts for telemetry patients that have been newly admitted, shift changes, dietary requirements, and rhythm validation.

Sickbay integrates EHRs using interfaces for ADT information, staffing assignments, meds, & labs. Sickbay integrates directly into the EHR to automate the capture and storage of ECG strips on the patient's record without additional, time-consuming, error-prone manual steps.

Sickbay simplifies the clinical theater by centralizing patient monitoring data from devices, EHRs, camera-enabled technology, and 3rd party analytics into a single screen. This enhances the readability and interpretation required to reduce the time-to-treat a deteriorating patient. Sickbay's interface is shared between bedside and remote care teams to drive scale and efficiency. Cadence is capable of two-way integration with Cerner, Epic, Athena, and other EMRs. Patient vitals and symptoms data captured by Cadence will be accessible via dashboards, notes, and reports in the Cadence platform and in our partners' physicians' EMRs.

Cadence solves the three major challenges that have plagued RPM historically for our health system partners:

  1. RPM creates too much work for overburdened clinicians

  1. Embedded Clinical Team. Cadence’s remote patient monitoring and responsive virtual care program is supported by an NP-led, embedded clinical team capable of administering care to their partners’ patients in accordance with disease state-specific protocols approved by each partner’s clinicians as part of the implementation process. These clinical protocols help PCPs intervene as necessary so that together, the Cadence Care team and the patient’s PCP, can make adjustments to the care plan for their chronic illness as needed.   2. Flexible, End-to-End Technology. Cadence is built on top of a flexible technology infrastructure that adapts to support our partners’ remote monitoring and virtual care needs, including the ability to integrate directly into a partner’s EMR and incorporate new devices, use cases, levels of acuity, and care pathways. Cadence’s seamless technology and patient-centric user experience is driving industry-leading engagement today, with over 88% of patients sharing vitals at least 16 days per month.
  3. Low-Risk Financial Model. Cadence offers a low-risk financial model with fees tied to performance and actual patient utilization. Cadence makes the upfront capital investment to support the implementation of the remote monitoring program, including approved devices, deployment configuration, enrollment staff, clinical staff, technical support staff, and logistics. In both fee-for-service and value-based arrangements, Cadence only invoices partners for services rendered to the patients.
