Description
The Stel Vitals Hub seamlessly and securely connects bluetooth vitals devices to health records without complex setup, WiFi, or mobile applications.
Healthcare leaders are struggling with the reality of the digital divide and integrating hundreds of point solutions across the care continuum.
Patients simply plug in the Hub and use their vitals device.
Care teams can better monitor patient trends and alerts within their preferred workflow.
With Stel, patients don’t require Wi-Fi, smartphones, or tech-literacy to connect with their care teams.
Stel passively and securely connects the device data to their care team’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) or preferred platform without risking Protected Health Information (PHI) or complicated workflows.
Stel Life simplifies connectivity for patients, care teams, digital health, and device companies.
Healthcare leaders are struggling with the reality of the digital divide and integrating hundreds of point solutions across the care continuum. With Stel, patients don’t require Wi-Fi, smartphones, or tech-literacy to connect with their care teams. Patients use health devices near a Stel Node. Stel passively and securely connects the device data to their care team’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) or preferred platform without risking Protected Health Information (PHI) or complicated workflows.
Rimidi’s cardiometabolic platform supports disease management of some of the most prevalent and costly chronic conditions. The platform provides access to the tools required to manage multiple disease states – Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease/Hypertension, Heart Failure, Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH), and Obesity. The platform consolidates relevant clinical data from the EMR for each disease state with patient-generated health data from connected devices or surveys, and layers clinical decision support that can be mapped against national or practice guidelines. Our cardiometabolic snapshot allows clinicians to quickly assess patient status for each comorbid disease state -- are screenings up to date? Are key metrics well-controlled?

Data Collection
Stel’s patented “Passive and Secure Heath Device Connectivity” allows patients to connect with their care team without requiring wifi, smartphones, or tech-literacy. Patients simply take their vitals within 100-ft of any smart IoT Hub (Stel, Amazon Echos, Routers), and Stel will securely transmit the measurement to the patient’s EHR and/or care team’s preferred digital health platform. Stel is a push only system and takes no-PHI or customer data in this process. Throughout the pandemic, Stel’s Cellular and Bluetooth Hub base model supported vulnerable patients experiencing the digital divide or challenging social determinants of health. This base Vitals Hub has no buttons, switches, or extra pairing steps. The Vitals Hub has a growing device ecosystem and can connect with hundreds of specialty and general devices for remote care. Stel is working to expand their Operating System to support Internet Modems, Routers, Smart HomeSpeakers, and other internet gateways to enable safe and accessible connectivity needed for all patients to connect with their care-teams. Stel’s patents include: US Pat. 11,165,866 + Pat. 11,246,026
Accessibility & Equity
As we move forward, who do we risk leaving behind? The pandemic has exposed the current reality of the digital divide. 43% of lower income americans lack broadband + 60% of medical facilities (outside of metropolitan areas lack broadband) 41% of Medicare beneficiaries lack smartphones Even if they do have access, there’s a question about passwords and security - last year, Knightscope revealed 100% of top 30 Health Apps were hacked. As Health System and Care team are being pushed to formalize equitable digital health strategies, it’s no wonder that we’re seeing headlines stating: “75% of Health System Leaders aren’t happy with their digital health strategy” As Patients and Care Teams evolve the standard of care to the home, common barriers that emerge are: 1) Complexity for Patients (especially those that lack wifi, smartphones, and/or comfort with tech), 2) Care Team burnt out, especially with new systems and non-standardized processes outside the EHR, 3) Varying and non-standard Privacy and Security practices by Device Manufacturers. Motivated by sensor experts being forced to master separate PHI, App Development, and EHR flows in order to commercialize their products. Stel’s proprietary technology is designed to simplify these complexities in a safe and secure way, so Patients and Care Teams have confidence to adopt the new normal of care. Health Systems can use multiple companies as patients navigate Hospital at Home, Transition of Care, Chronic Condition Management, and Wellness - that patient will only need 1 Stel Hub to interact with those various programs.
Integration & Interoperability
Rapid Device Integrations: Requested device integrations are completed in record time. Throughout the supply chain hassles, Clinicians were able to switch and offer alternative devices sourced from their local pharmacies. All worked with Stel without any issues. Stel's record was 4 devices integrated over night (before the start of the next work day). Specialty Device Integrations: Stel's supported devices include lab quality home-blood tests to implantable devices. EHR and Digital Health Integrations: Because of Stel's No-PHI flows, Health Systems were able to streamline IT and legal review to complete EHR integration within days (with limited resources).
Operational Support
Check out our customer reviews. We strongly believe in supporting and eliminating burden, hassle, and extra time for care teams boldly evolving care to the home.

Differentiators
Currently, EHR do not routinely provide RPM Workflows. Many clinicians support RPM with external applications and platforms that create duplicative work and increase the likelihood of transcription errors. The Stel solution provides data directly into the EHR where clinicians are working and allows for seamless access to patient generated health data flowsheets.
Stel Vitals Hub has a zero-trust architecture that does not ingest any PHI. Stel does not require the patient to have a smartphone, WiFi, or app-literacy. Ideal for patients struggling from the digital divide.
In the sales process, we often hear “Doesn’t Epic (or other EHR) do that?” Rimidi is not built to replace the EHR, but to enhance it by bringing in additional data sets, providing more efficient workflows, and improving the user experience. Rimidi can install and configure its platform within 3-6 weeks which is significantly faster and more cost effective than onsite EHR teams can build and support enhancements to meet clinical needs. Rimidi’s modern technology stack enables rapid cycle innovation and iteration post-go live.
Rimidi’s cardiometabolic platform is most often compared to other Remote Patient Monitoring solutions, but the platform-approach to RPM allows Rimidi to do so much more. Some key differentiators of the Rimidi platform are: (1) tight integration with leading EHRs via SMART on FHIR, (2) the breadth of the comorbid disease states we cover, (3) our incorporations of patient-reported outcomes and social determinants of health measures and (4) our Clinical Decision Support engine. Rimidi’s CDS cards support almost any insight or intervention a client wants: RPM data alerting and interventions, referral management, lab or medication recommendations, clinical trial identification, and more.
