About Withings Health Solutions:

Founded as an extension of Withings in 2019, Withings Health Solutions began by recognizing the impact that Withings’ consumer-targeted technology could have on professionals in the healthcare industry. After launching the first-ever Wi-Fi Scale on the market, Withings soon began developing more products to empower healthcare decision making, inventing the first Hybrid Smart Watch, the first Blood Pressure Monitor with ECG and Digital Stethoscope, and the first Analog Recording Watch recording an ECG.

Today, Withings Health Solutions builds on this technology to bring enhanced remote monitoring solutions to healthcare professionals across the world. As we work towards our vision of inventing the future of consumer health monitoring, we hope to equip medical, health and wellness professionals with the simple, innovative solutions they need to improve the health of the communities they serve — everywhere.

Product Capabilities

Withings Health Solutions enables continuous, real-time collection of biometric and patient-generated health data from outside the hospital or clinic as part of a provider-directed remote patient monitoring program. Using medical-grade connected devices, patients can easily capture data such as blood pressure, weight, body composition, and sleep metrics from home or in-clinic settings. Data is securely transmitted to the Withings RPM platform, where it is automatically organized, contextualized, and made available to care teams for clinical review, triage, and intervention. This approach supports longitudinal monitoring, improves data reliability, and allows providers to deliver more proactive, personalized care without adding operational burden.

Withings Health Solutions uses analytics and configurable alerts to help care teams identify patients at risk of clinical deterioration or potential hospitalization. The platform automatically notifies care teams when readings exceed defined thresholds, such as elevated blood pressure, signs of fluid retention, or significant weight loss or gain. By monitoring longitudinal trends and surfacing actionable alerts, clinicians can prioritize patients who need attention and intervene earlier to prevent avoidable escalations.

Withings Health Solutions is designed to reach and engage all eligible patients, including those with limited technical skills, health literacy, language proficiency, or reliable internet access. Medical-grade devices feature built-in device education, large easy-to-read LCD screens on BPM Pro 2, and accessibility-focused options such as Eyes-Closed Mode to reduce user error and anxiety. Devices offer cellular connectivity with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth fallback, enabling reliable data transmission in rural and underserved communities. Together, these capabilities support equitable participation, improve adherence, and ensure consistent data collection across diverse patient populations.

Withings Health Solutions provides comprehensive operational support to help patients and care teams scale remote patient monitoring programs without added burden. An in-house team spanning customer support, account management, customer success, product, and technology supports implementation, staff training, patient onboarding, and ongoing technical assistance. Devices are purpose-built to streamline workflows, including features like BPM Pro 2’s on-device questionnaires, which capture patient responses at the point of measurement. This reduces the need for follow-up calls or texts while providing care teams with richer clinical context, enabling more efficient, scalable program operations.

Withings Health Solutions is built to seamlessly fit within existing IT infrastructure to improve both clinician and patient experience. An in-house product and technology team supports implementation and integration with virtually any EHR, ensuring secure, reliable data flow into established clinical workflows. This approach reduces IT burden, accelerates deployment, and enables care teams to access patient data where they already work.

Once digital tools are ordered, Xealth can manage all elements of delivery and enrollment, either by sending them directly via email or SMS or via the patient portal (stock or custom-built). As patients use these programs, Xealth tracks engagement and can send reminder notifications.

Tthe Xealth platform has successfully deployed a wide variety of connected device solutions within its digital health formulary across the client base. Remote Patient Monitoring solutions deployed include both broad-based RPM such as VitalTech and Harmonize, and also focused RPM solutions such as Babyscripts, Force Therapeutics, Glooko, and Rimidi. Xealth enhances the native capabilities of each of these RPM solutions through its unique integration within the EHR, allowing for the ordering and monitoring of the RPM solution based on configurable use cases. This integration creates a seamless experience for both patients and clinicians. Xealth’s proprietary dashboard provides insights to the impact of digital solutions, allowing for health systems to gain a better understanding if the solutions they have deployed are having the intended impact.

Xealth brings data and real-time monitoring information back into the health system so care teams can follow the patient’s progress or drive interventions. Digital Care embeds third-party dashboards inside the EHR, making it easy for clinicians to see their patient’s progress without leaving the patient record. Discrete patient data, like PHQ9 scores or blood pressure readings, can be written into the chart and stored alongside similar data. Downstream workflows like notifications, best practice alerts, and patient flags can also be generated within the record.

Xealth’s platform aggregates and organizes digital health tools and related data within the EHR for easy deployment and oversight. Xealth’s core platform is the Digital Care SMART on FHIR app, which can be downloaded from Epic App Market (formerly App Orchard) or Cerner Code Gallery and configured by the health system team to launch directly in the provider’s charting workflow. Xealth’s clinical decision support rules engine can automatically distribute tools, assets, and program enrollment information to patients, as well as present relevant solutions within the patient record in the EHR for manual prescribing. Xealth streamlines and enables dynamic control of data captured and collected by third party vendors. As organizations use Xealth to connect patients with Apps and RPM tools to collect and monitor patients, Xealth's integrated infrastructure enables the health system to have complete access to that data in a variety of manners. Through its extensive Vendor Ecosystem, Xealth has worked collaboratively with over 40 industry recognized providers of digital health applications, clinical content, RPM and others. Maintaining excellent working relationships with vendors embedded in Xealth use cases is part of Xealth’s foundational model for achieving success across the client community.

Xealth’s Digital Command Center provides engagement data for digital tools and content deployed through Xealth. Health systems can see how many patients open an email/text message, click on a card in digital care, and watch or view content. This allows the health system to see if content is being used by patients. Health systems can change the time of deployment of a solution (send sooner or later) and/or send reminders, when there is a lower level of engagement than expected. Xealth’s monitor tab, which is integrated into Epic, displays third party application dashboards within Epic, providing a seamless experience for the clinician. The clinician is also able to see engagement data for content, such as videos/pdfs.

Use Cases

Description:

A hospital launches a remote patient monitoring program for patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) following discharge to reduce readmissions and support earlier intervention. Patients are provided with Withings BPM Pro 2, a cellular blood pressure monitor designed for clinical workflows and ease of use at home.

Patients take regular blood pressure measurements from home, with data transmitted automatically via cellular connectivity (with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth fallback) to the care team—no app setup or manual syncing required. If a reading exceeds predefined thresholds, alerts notify clinicians so they can quickly assess risk and prioritize outreach.

To reduce follow-up calls and improve clinical context, the hospital uses BPM Pro 2’s on-device questionnaire feature to ask patients targeted questions at the time of measurement, such as shortness of breath, swelling, medication adherence, or sudden weight changes. Patient responses appear alongside biometric data in the RPM platform, allowing clinicians to make more informed decisions without additional outreach.

This approach enables earlier identification of decompensation, supports medication or care plan adjustments, and helps hospitals scale CHF monitoring programs efficiently while minimizing operational burden on care teams.
