Description

Product Description:
NUROCHEK is an Australian innovation and a world-first brain activity assessment device. www.nurochek.com is a portable headset using clinically validated, patented technology to actually measure the brain’s electrical activity and send results to a smartphone for analysis and the cloud for storage and future comparison. In 2 minutes NUROCHEK tells us when a player has abnormal brain activity, and when has returned to normal and their doctor can assess they are safe to return to playing. The current standards, such as the SCAT Test is a mixture of assessments, and takes an experienced doctor over 20 minutes. Our revolutionary technology is designed to take the uncertainty, and controversy, out of concussion diagnosis. Whilst critical for elite sports, it’s also for school and community sports. Research shows that the brain’s electrical activity (or EEG) actually changes in concussion, and returns to the pre-concussion baseline alongside clinical recovery. Globally there are 10 million concussions every year, 5 million of these in children and adolescents. The headset will retail for under $500 and the software sell for <$30/user/year. At the elite level of major sports, NUROCHEK will become a vital part of the Head Injury Assessment, in helping team medial staff decide if a player needs to leave the field or can return to the same game. During recovery, and prior to playing again, NUROCHEK will help medical staff analyse that the player is back to pre-injury (“baseline”) brain activity, and can therefore return to sport. Players can be tested after injury and in return to play scenarios, or weekly as a “fit for play” test: not all concussions are witnessed and recognized, and whether they occur at training, in a game, off-field at home or in the school playground, or if multiple smaller (sub-concussive) impacts cause a change in brain function, NUROCHEK will show the change

Product Capabilities

pCare delivers patient education from the leading content providers (Krames, Healthwise, WedMD, Health Nuts, Elsevier) whose content is kept up to date and reviewed.

With ingeterations in place, pCare tracks when content is accessed, completed, along with answere to learning verification questions - all of which can be ported back to an EHR via results message. Additionally, all de-identified transaction data is saved in our system for reporting and can be made available back to clients via data exports.

Patients can interact with the pCare system via a pillow speaker, tablet, or personal device paired to our system. On Screen Displays alert the patient to view education in preparation for discharge as well as present surveys patients complete in order to give staff a pulse check on an admission. Patients can further interact with the system by answering learning verification questions, placing service quests, ordering meds to beds, ordering meals, and managing room temperature and lighting controls.

pCare CareFlows are triggered by both EHR data and interactions with our system to guide the patient during an admission. Available CareFlows include Discharge Planning, Falls Prevention, Infection Control, and Pain Management.

Navigating the system is as easy as using a television remote and it can be done via a person device. The content presented is from validated patient education publishers whose content is not only scientifically accurate but created in accordance with health literacy design priciples. In addition to providing content in multiple languages, our VideoConnect telepresence solution include Language Connect which facilitates 1-click access to video translation services.

pCare intergrates with leading EHR systems which enables prescription and documentation of education transactions. CareFlows further automate the process by dosing information over the duration of an admission.

pCare integrates with leading EHRs including Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Meditech, and Altera (Allscripts)
