DESCRIPTION

Aiva Nurse Assistant is a smartphone app that serves as a personal assistant for hospital nurses, reducing their administrative burden while improving efficiency and wellbeing.

The app allows nurses to use conversational voice or text to document to flowsheets, set reminders and interact with other systems, including dietary, patient experience, interpreter services, room controls, patient education and policies & procedures.

Today, documentation takes up to 41% of a nurse's shift, detracting from direct patient interaction, increasing stress and contributing to burnout. The hassle of manual documentation contributes to incomplete charting, leading to uninformed care decisions and potential fines (e.g., for HAPIs when there's no documentation of patient repositioning).

Aiva Nurse Assistant provides the most natural voice charting experience -- tailored to nurses, not physicians. One Assistant client projected up to an 80% time savings for a high-frequency charting task like patient repositioning.

Aiva also goes beyond charting to save nurses time across all of the systems they use day-in and day-out -- whether they're in the patient room or on the go.

Conversational control should give nurses back at least an hour per shift away from workstations and multiple app interfaces -- improving their efficiency but also their wellbeing and job satisfaction.

Aiva Nurse Assistant Streamlines Nurse Workflows

Cedars-Sinai is piloting Aiva Nurse Assistant this fall. We're excited to finally have technology designed with nurses' needs in mind. Our modeling suggests that Nurse Assistant will save our staff a lot of time on high-frequency charting tasks as well as other tasks like accessing patient data, setting reminders and controlling other systems we use throughout the day.
