We believe healthcare technology can, and should, do more to address nursing shortages, ED overcrowding, and underserved populations, as well as those the current technology leaves behind.

Nurse Disrupted is nurse-founded and clinician-led, with experts from major healthcare IT vendors and advisors from across the healthcare industry dedicated to the goal of making it easier to have lower cost access to nursing services.

At the start of the pandemic, founder Bre Loughlin, RN, and team sought to provide video COVID screenings to homeless shelters in Madison, Wisconsin. The program garnered national attention with features in Becker’s and US News and World Reports among other publications. The impact was significant: in its first 22 months, the program prevented over 1.150 ED visits and saved $2.3M in healthcare costs. We’ve now conducted more than 36,000 video encounters across over 300 providers.

 

Now we’re using our experience to improve care in more ways, across different sites of care by tearing down the obstacles holding back access to quality nursing: cost, connectivity, and complexity. Our company mission is to create healthcare connections that work for everybody, everywhere.
