KeyCare enables health systems to easily augment their care teams, optimize capacity, and widen their digital front doors by offering access to an independent, nationwide network of urgent care and behavioral health providers who work on an instance of Epic optimized for virtual care. KeyCare intends to add other virtual care specialties in the future.

Superior Patient Experience via Epic Interoperability

Your patients’ experience is seamless as they access the KeyCare platform via your MyChart or Call Center. They then continue their journey using Epic’s interoperability tools, such as Telehealth Anywhere, Book Anywhere, Care Everywhere and Happy Together. Patients remain on Epic’s software throughout their visit making the experience convenient for patients while ensuring their data is available to all care providers who need it. 

Comprehensive Quality Care via Robust Data Sharing

As an extension of your clinical team, KeyCare provides access to a network of credentialed and patient-centric Virtualists who can view your patients’ Epic-based health records to support their delivery of care. At the end of the encounter, all visit data is sent back to your health system chart, and the patient’s primary care team can be automatically notified via an In-Basket message. Patients also receive an after-visit summary and note via your MyChart. 

Optimized Capacity via Delegation of Routine Virtual Care

KeyCare was created to help shift the burden of routine work from office-based providers to a team of Virtualists working on an Epic instance optimized for virtual care. Patients receive quick and consistent virtual care for routine issues via your front door, while your physicians and other care team members have more time to focus on the delivery of higher-value and higher-complexity services.

KeyCare supports providing pediatric virtual care visits.

Health Systems and Health Plans

KeyCare provides clear advantages for Epic-based health systems. First, patients have a more seamless and integrated experience as they request virtual visits via their health system’s MyChart experience without needing to use a separate app nor re-enter their medical history.
