Description

Product Description:

Clinical leaders are able to easily customize workflows, then seamlessly disseminate protocols to frontline providers. Clinical Pathways are interactive decision trees with embedded links to clinical orders. AgileMD now has more than 4000 pathways live across emergency medicine, hospital medicine, surgery, oncology and primary care.

About AgileMD:

At AgileMD, we are building the most advanced real-time predictive analytics and clinical pathways platform for hospitals.

To date, AgileMD tools have been used on more than 4 million patient encounters by more than 135,000 clinical users in over 250 hospitals, including some of the nation's leading academic medical centers. AgileMD's eCART clinical deterioration prediction software is FDA cleared and the first AI-powered early warning device for ward patients to go through the FDA process with real-world prospective data.

AgileMD is backed by premier start-up partners MATTER, YCombinator, and Rock Health, and our cutting-edge analytics are built on more than decade of ongoing research at the University of Chicago. In 2021, AgileMD garnered nearly $3 million in combined federal research and development funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).

Product Description:
ActX is a genomic decision support service that is tightly integrated within the EHR. With ActX implemented, every time a prescription order is written in the routine medication order workflow, it will be checked for drug-genome interactions and the prescriber alerted as needed. Provider friendly, and CAP accredited initial results will be generated and returned to the provider in the clinical inbasket. A dynamic and up-to-date Genomic Profile for each patient will be available in their chart. Patient genetic data can be imported from any clinically valid source. The knowledgebase content is easily customizable and includes content for pharmacogenomics, actionable genetic risks, and carrier statuses.
About ActX, Inc.:

ActX helps physicians make better decisions about medical treatment, using patients’ genetic information. ActX uses its GenoACT℠ clinical decision support program to analyze a patient’s genetic information and alert physicians in real time through their existing workflow tool, the electronic health record, about drug-genome interactions, actionable hereditary risks and carrier status

Use Cases

Description:
  • AgileMD Clinical Pathways are used throughout ambulatory and inpatient settings to improve clinician adherence to evolving guidelines and supply management,. Their use has led to reductions in unnecessary diagnostic testing and improved timeliness of medication administration.
  • These EHR-embedded guidelines streamline order entry and documentation, giving clinical teams access to the most current protocols within their workflow. Health systems use AgileMD pathways to convert paper and PDF protocols into actionable guidance. This is done by wiring clinical guidelines directly into the Epic and Cerner workflows that nurses and doctors are already using. Embedded pathways allow providers get a visual understanding of a patient’s status and order the most appropriate tests, treatments, and referrals without leaving the flowchart. Easily-modifiable content allows health systems to quickly disseminate protocol updates and ensure the most relevant evidence is at the care team's fingertips.
Pediatric use cases:

Like in adult settings, there are several use cases for pediatric clinical pathways. Our customers, including several children's hospitals, use them to address the most important triage and treatment clinical workflows.
