Product Description:
Woddle Baby is a reimagined nursery essential: an AI-enabled 6-in-1 smart hub that integrates a medical-grade scale and changing pad to support early at-home weight monitoring. By providing valuable data insights, Woddle Baby supports proactive care, improving outcomes and reducing the need for costly interventions and readmissions. With AI-powered coaching and timely milestone reminders, parents and caregivers receive real-time support and answers when they need them most. As infants adhere to nutritional care pathways and hit key health indicators, caregivers foster increased confidence and satisfaction while reducing overall anxiety throughout the journey. By supporting on time discharge and length of stay optimization while serving up actionable interventions to the health system with at-home monitoring, Woddle Baby aligns with driving cost savings and quality performance by reducing readmissions, improving maternal-infant health outcomes, and demonstrating proactive newborn care management.

Product Description:
  • eCART is a research-based, AI-driven software as a medical device (SaMD) that utilizes a machine learning algorithm to continuously assess hospitalized patients’ risk of impending death or intensive care unit (ICU) transfer, assisting medical staff in swift and accurate recognition of patients requiring increased medical attention. eCART draws upon readily available patient data from the EHR, rapidly quantifies disease severity, and predicts likelihood of critical illness onset, hours before it happens.
  • eCART received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2024, with clinical performance data of nearly two million hospitalizations from 21 hospitals, including an unprecedented level of real-world prospective data, to ensure consistent accuracy across geography, age, race, and top medical conditions (e.g. sepsis, COPD, heart failure).
  • Built upon more than a decade of ongoing scientific research, eCART was developed at UChicago Medicine by Dr. Dana Edelson, MD, MS and Dr. Matthew Churpek, MD, PhD and is well chronicled in published literature. The analytic and workflow have been in use in clinical practice since 2016.
About AgileMD:

At AgileMD, our mission is to improve patient outcomes by making evidence-based care universally accessible. We deliver this through intelligent clinical triggers, deeply integrated workflows, and actionable measurement that empowers clinicians at the point of care.

Founded at the University of Chicago more than 14 years ago, AgileMD solutions now support over 140,000 providers across 400+ U.S. hospitals, informing care for nearly 4.5 million patient encounters. Our impact has been validated in 90+ peer-reviewed publications, demonstrating meaningful improvements in care standardization, mortality, length of stay, and cost management.

AgileMD’s eCART all-cause early warning software is FDA-cleared and proven to outperform sepsis-specific scores. With embedded clinical pathways, it helps frontline teams identify risk earlier and follow role-specific guidelines to order, document, and escalate care.

AgileMD has been awarded nearly $3 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), underscoring our commitment to advancing high-quality, data-driven clinical care.

Use Cases

Description:

Feeders & Growers

Woddle Baby supports NICU graduates, specifically "feeders and growers,” through a connected at-home care model that enables safe discharge while maintaining continuity of clinical oversight. The AI-powered smart scale and changing pad empowers caregivers to monitor their infant’s weight daily at home, triggering real-time alerts for significant weight loss and automatically sharing data with the care team.

Breastfeeding Support

Woddle Baby enhances breastfeeding outcomes by offering real-time, connected support for parents navigating early infant feeding. The smart scale and AI-powered platform allow families to track infant weight between feedings, educate themselves on optimal breastfeeding techniques, and receive timely alerts when issues arise, such as insufficient weight gain or feeding inconsistencies.

For lactation teams and pediatric providers, Woddle Baby acts as a virtual extension of breastfeeding support, especially for babies using weighted feeds. It helps identify challenges early, reducing unnecessary in-person visits and guiding families to internal resources like lactation consultants and support groups.

Pediatric use cases:

By enabling ongoing weight surveillance, Woddle Baby helps providers proactively addresses key drivers of readmissions such as feeding, growth, and nutrition concerns. The platform enhances clinical decision-making by supporting:

  • Early identification of weight deviations or feeding challenges
  • Improved breastfeeding support and follow-up care
  • Reduced incidence of failure to thrive and jaundice
  • Greater parental engagement and infant bonding
  • Safer transitions from hospital to home with continued monitoring
Users:

Parents, infants, caregivers, Pediatric Teams - physicians, nurses, telehealth or remote patient monitoring team members
