VitalTech follows the recommendation of the Joint Commission that all patient education materials (PEMs) should be written at or below a 5th grade reading level in order to address the health literacy needs of all patients. We are mindful that many of our patients utilizing the VitalCare application are elderly, with the average age of our users being 78. With that knowledge, we work hard to ensure that our application is easy to use no matter a patient’s age and/or technical literacy.
