Description

Product Description:

Regulora is a PDT that is accessed through a smartphone app. It consists of seven therapy sessions provided over three months, with practice sessions between. Regulora is delivers Gut-Directed Hypnotherapy (GDH) and includes the collection of adherence data and patient reported outcomes using clinically-validated survey instruments. Unlike most digital therapeutics that focus on behavioral health issues, Regulora treats abdominal pain, a somatic symptom that is the chief IBS complaint. For decades, in-person psychological interventions have been effective in treating IBS but were accessible to very few patients.

Regulora provides broad access to this treatment through a mechanism familiar to both patients and doctors: obtaining a prescription. By providing physicians an easy way to prescribe treatment and patients a convenient way to undergo therapy privately at home, Regulora offers a non-drug option that addresses the stigma often associated with bowel problems and psychological interventions.

About metaMe Health, Inc.:

metaMe Health is a pioneer in developing Prescription Digital Therapeutics (PDTs). In 2022, our work was recognized by being included on the “50 on Fire” list of up-and-coming Chicago companies, being named one of the Top 150 most promising Digital Health Companies of 2022 nationwide by CBInsights, and being selected as a finalist in the LyfeBulb-Bristol Myers Squibb Inflammatory Bowel Disease Challenge. In 2021, our lead product Regulora® became the first FDA-cleared PDT specifically for abdominal pain associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in adults. More than 30 million Americans are affected by IBS, and the abdominal pain, diarrhea, and/or constipation that comes with it. Regulora provides relief by digitizing a standardized Brain-Gut therapy approach that has been clinically proven to be effective in reducing IBS symptoms.
