Use cases and differentiators

Virtual Nursing:

Nurses are often stretched too thin, covering 2-3x the number of patients considered reasonable for a standard of care. Our solution will:

  • Empower remote clinicians by providing telehealth access to deliver predictable, repeatable services such as patient education, admission and discharge
  • Help attract and retain nursing staff by providing remote work opportunities
  • Improve patient satisfaction by reducing wait times
  • Increase touch points and access to caregivers

Other Use Cases:

  • Tele-Sitter with Epic Monitor integration
  • Virtual Nursing
  • Patient experience app integration, such as GetWell
  • On-demand language interpretation services, such as LanguageLine, Martti, Voyce, GLOBO … etc.
  • Virtual Rounding
  • Supporting external affiliate Epic organizations, FQHCs and specialty outpatient clinics
  • Tele-EMS
  • Mobile Stroke Units
  • Tele-Stroke workflows using Extended Care incorporating intake forms, barcode scanning … etc.
  • On-Demand video visits
  • Virtual Home Visits

Extended Care's solution offers these factors over any EHR's functionality:

  • Better health outcomes
  • Streamlined clinical workflows
  • Increased patient and physician engagement
  • Fewer hospitalizations and readmissions
  • Reduced patient risk
  • Cost savings

We solved what our Competitors haven't. They have:

  • Standalone solutions/workflows not integrated into the EMR leading to a disjointed and high friction end user experience.
  • Point solutions that address only a single use case or clinical setting causing a proliferation of a myriad of solutions across the enterprise.
  • Minimum or lack of customizability resulting in a one size fits all approach to end user experience.
  • Operational inefficiencies and challenges in maintaining, managing and supporting multiple applications.
  • Inflexible licensing models causing enterprises to overbuy leading to increased budgetary allocations and resource underutilization.

Extended Care offers a better solution that goes beyond all of their limitations, with...

  • Seamless integration with Epic* patient and provider applications resulting in a frictionless end user experience.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of any telehealth use case across the entire continuum of care in any clinical setting – acute, ambulatory or in-home.
  • Hyper-customizability that’s lends itself to creating a fully personalized and unique end user experience for patients and providers.
  • Delivering a consistent end user experience across the enterprise enabling organizations to leverage economies of scale to support multiple programs.
  • Highly flexible concurrency-based licensing model with unlimited bursting allowing organizations to scale as their programs grow.
