Description

Product Description:

Your Care Is Exceptional. Your Ratings Should Reflect That.

Accurate provider documentation is essential to drive CMS Star Ratings and U.S. News rankings. Documentation leakage can lead to perceived quality gaps and reimbursement shortfalls.

Common Gaps:

  • Misaligned clinical evidence vs. diagnoses
  • Missing or incomplete documentation
  • Incorrect coding

The Impact:

Even with exceptional care, incomplete clinical documentation can cost hospitals the credit they deserve, leading to lower rankings and missed reimbursement opportunities

Tendo Insights Enhances Your CDI & Quality Programs

We tackle the complexities of quality improvement with a prescriptive, data-driven approach that uncovers gaps, generates insights, and delivers targeted recommendations.

Our Approach:

  • Discover: Align with your quality goals—Star Ratings, U.S. News rankings, etc.
  • Diagnose: Pinpoint documentation gaps impacting scores.
  • Plan: Develop a strategic action plan.
  • Deploy: Use Tendo’s QDI app to enhance CDI efforts.
  • Measure & Forecast: Track progress and optimize performance

Tendo Insights empowers hospitals to address documentation leakage, improve quality outcomes, and maximize reimbursement.

About Tendo:

It’s time to reimagine what’s possible in healthcare.

At Tendo, we’re on a mission to become the trusted connection between patients, clinicians, and caregivers by creating software that provides seamless, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences throughout the care journey.

Product Description:
  • eCART is a research-based, AI-driven software as a medical device (SaMD) that utilizes a machine learning algorithm to continuously assess hospitalized patients’ risk of impending death or intensive care unit (ICU) transfer, assisting medical staff in swift and accurate recognition of patients requiring increased medical attention. eCART draws upon readily available patient data from the EHR, rapidly quantifies disease severity, and predicts likelihood of critical illness onset, hours before it happens.
  • eCART received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2024, with clinical performance data of nearly two million hospitalizations from 21 hospitals, including an unprecedented level of real-world prospective data, to ensure consistent accuracy across geography, age, race, and top medical conditions (e.g. sepsis, COPD, heart failure).
  • Built upon more than a decade of ongoing scientific research, eCART was developed at UChicago Medicine by Dr. Dana Edelson, MD, MS and Dr. Matthew Churpek, MD, PhD and is well chronicled in published literature. The analytic and workflow have been in use in clinical practice since 2016.
About AgileMD:

At AgileMD, we are building the most advanced real-time predictive analytics and clinical pathways platform for hospitals.

To date, AgileMD tools have been used on more than 4 million patient encounters by more than 135,000 clinical users in over 250 hospitals, including some of the nation's leading academic medical centers. AgileMD's eCART clinical deterioration prediction software is FDA cleared and the first AI-powered early warning device for ward patients to go through the FDA process with real-world prospective data.

AgileMD is backed by premier start-up partners MATTER, YCombinator, and Rock Health, and our cutting-edge analytics are built on more than decade of ongoing research at the University of Chicago. In 2021, AgileMD garnered nearly $3 million in combined federal research and development funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).

Use Cases

Description:

Use Case 1: Improving U.S. News & CMS Star Rankings

A health system wants to improve its ranking in U.S. News and World Report Best Hospitals and CMS Star rating but struggles with documentation inconsistencies. Tendo Insights analyzes provider documentation, identifies misalignment between clinical evidence and coded diagnoses, and delivers targeted recommendations. By addressing these gaps, the hospital improves its quality scores, enhances its reputation, and secures better rankings.

Use Case 2: Reducing Documentation-Related Revenue Loss

A hospital system discovers that missing or incomplete documentation is leading to lower CMS Star Ratings. Tendo Insights pinpoints coding inaccuracies and incomplete records, helping CDI teams implement real-time corrections. As a result, the hospital strengthens its quality performance, captures lost revenue, and optimizes reimbursement.

Pediatric use cases:

A children's hospital struggling with documentation gaps risks lower U.S. News rankings and CMS Star Ratings. Tendo Insights identifies misalignments, improves coding accuracy, and boosts quality scores—enhancing reputation and reimbursement.

Users:

Typical users of Tendo Insights include:

  • Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Teams – Identify and correct documentation gaps to improve quality scores.
  • Quality & Performance Improvement Teams – Enhance CMS Star Ratings, U.S. News rankings, and reimbursement accuracy.
  • Revenue Cycle Leaders – Reduce revenue loss due to incomplete or inaccurate documentation.
  • Hospital Administrators & Executives – Track and optimize quality performance for financial and reputational impact.
