Description

Product Description:

StarStarter is currently available as a non-prescription therapeutic game to manage symptoms of anxiety. Our mobile casual game delivers treatment using a unique cognitive training method called Attention Bias Modification Training, and is designed to be used for 6-12 mnutes a day, at least 4 days a week for an 30 day initial course of treatment. Evidence during our most recent clinical pilot showed that >90% of patients saw symptom reduction, 68% had clinically meaningful reductions in anxiety severity levels.

The game is fun and brief, using your ship to bounce off the walls to gather energy and bring light back to the galaxy. As you light the stars, inhabitants will offer you their wisdom to enrich your life. Integrated assessments provide support for escalation and triage.

About Array Behavioral Care:

Who we are

Array Behavioral Care is a virtual psychiatry and therapy practice that was founded by clinicians more than 23 years ago. We employ and closely manage a large team of licensed psychiatrists, therapists, and behavioral health specialists who use evidence-based assessment tools and treatment protocols to provide high-quality, standardized care. Our clinicians are supported by administrative and technical teams and overseen by engaged, experienced clinical leaders ensuring they deliver care that is effective, safe, and clinically appropriate.

What we’re not

We are not a technology platform, a network of 1099 contracted providers, or an Uber-like model where clinicians work gigs. We are not a staffing company or a locums tenens group, and our utility extends beyond simple clinician capacity. The impact of our programs is tangible, and we can predict with confidence what metrics will be improved.

How we got here

Array was born out of a bricks-and-mortar behavioral health practice in southern New Jersey that still exists today. In 1999, Founder and current Executive Chief Medical Officer, Dr. James R. Varrell, provided the nation’s first commitment via telepsychiatry. After that first encounter, we started using telehealth to deliver psychiatry coverage to local hospitals. Our telepsychiatry service offerings quickly grew into new care settings and new states. While we now have a national scope, we’re still a closely managed practice and the only one delivering virtual behavioral health services across the entire continuum of care.

Differentiators vs Competitors:

Big Health’s DaylightRx is an FDA-cleared treatment for anxiety. However, Daylight’s mechanism of action is digitized CBT. Patients are often discouraged by CBT’s invasive questions, time-consuming activities, and stress-inducing assignments. StarStarter provides a lower barrier of entry to mental health treatment through its brief and casual gaming approach and simplified questionnaires. Additionally, ABM targets bottom-up, subconscious processes through its cognitive exercise, while Digital CBT targets top-down conscious processes through verbal mediation and executive functioning.
