Mend 2-Way Secure Messaging can be used to conduct messaging visits, real-time messaging, or asynchronous conversations. When a new message arrives, users are alerted via text and email. Staff and providers are in full control of when conversations are started and stopped. Accenture reports that 69% of patients want to communicate with their provider through secure email. Mend messaging visits can be gated by a flat cash pay fee and allow patients to ask questions, request prescription refills, or get care for minor issues in a HIPAA compliant, ease-to-use experience. Simply set a flat fee commensurate to a co-pay amount. Mend can allow patients to start a two way secure messaging visit after answering triage questions and submitting a successful payment. 2-way secure messaging is great for ad-hoc digital workflows like sending a doctor’s note to a patient. Messages can be sent to groups or individuals and can include documents or images.
