Twiage provides an award-winning communication, care coordination and telehealth technology solution empowering hospitals, EMS and other healthcare providers to accelerate emergency care and non-emergency care.


Twiage's HIPAA-complaint communication technology delivers real-time data from ambulances to hospitals and other healthcare providers, reducing the reliance on radio or phone communication. EMTs and paramedics can use the Twiage EMS App to notify hospital emergency rooms and other service lines, such as STEMI, stroke or trauma, about the incoming patients with GPS-tracked ETAs simultaneously, and share patient IDs, vital signs, EKGs, photos, and videos with hospitals. Hospital service lines and support staff can use Twiage continuously after the patient’s arrival to engage in-hospital care coordination and interfacility transfers. Value-based healthcare providers can also use Twiage's telehealth and triage capabilities to work with medical responders for triages, treatments and transfers on less emergent patients.


During the COVID-19 crisis, Twiage's "Isolation" module combined with the "Video Consult" function helps hospitals prepare isolation earlier for suspected incoming EMS patients or keep patients with low acuity from coming to EDs.

Our clinicians are supported by administrative and technical teams and overseen by engaged, experienced clinical leaders ensuring they deliver care that is effective, safe, and clinically appropriate. 

What we’re not 

We are not a technology platform, a network of 1099 contracted providers, or an Uber-like model where clinicians work gigs. We are not a staffing company or a locums tenens group, and our utility extends beyond simple clinician capacity. The impact of our programs is tangible, and we can predict with confidence what metrics will be improved. 

How we got here 

Array was born out of a bricks-and-mortar behavioral health practice in southern New Jersey that still exists today. In 1999, Founder and current Executive Chief Medical Officer, Dr. James R. Varrell, provided the nation’s first commitment via telepsychiatry. After that first encounter, we started using telehealth to deliver psychiatry coverage to local hospitals. Our telepsychiatry service offerings quickly grew into new care settings and new states. While we now have a national scope, we’re still a closely managed practice and the only one delivering virtual behavioral health services across the entire continuum of care.
