Description

Product Description:

PreMedicus® ER is a novel user-friendly patient facing mobile app for digitally guided self-diagnosis that accurately triages over 100 medical conditions. PreMedicus® ER delivers real-time hyper-personal triage advice with in-app 911 call capability, and GPS guidance to nearby pharmacies, physician offices, urgent care facilities or emergency departments as deemed appropriate by the Triage Engine. PreMedicus® ER can be integrated with telemedicine platforms and the digital front door of urgent care, ER and retail pharmacy facilities.

PreMedicus® ER initially collects and organizes patient responses to a carefully crafted health questionnaire to create a custom Health Report. The Health Report helps the patient understand their current health status and risks for future problems in easy to understand language.

In times of acute illness, the PreMedicus® ER app takes the patient through a brief targeted interview, and in under five minutes renders a reliable Preliminary Diagnosis and accurate Triage Decision using data from current symptoms and their personal health database. The PreMedicus® ER app delivers relevant health education and advice curated from world-class sources about the likely diagnoses, and then activates global GPS to guide the patient to the closest appropriate facility regardless of where in the world they are located. The patient can share their Illness Report with telemedicine or in-person health providers and family members.

We performed a real-world pilot study in a busy inner city academic hospital that cares for a predominantly disadvantaged population with high uninsured and Medicaid rates. We proved that our digital approach to Preliminary Diagnosis and Triage was as reliable as that of the ER physicians. The majority of adult patients regardless of age found the app easy to use, and expressed interest in using this tool. Our pilot study data is available upon request.

We are eager to partner with a hospital system or health insurer in a pilot study of this unique self-diagnosis, triage and health maintenance tool.

About PreMedicus® LLC:

PreMedicus® LLC is an Atlanta digital medicine startup founded by Pulmonary and Critical Care physician Dr. Tony Kimani. While in China with his Georgia Institute of Technology MBA class, he saw patients waiting long hours for ER care with advanced smartphones in hand. He was inspired to design and commercialize patient-friendly mobile apps for critical healthcare needs. We are pioneers in the emerging field of digital precision population health, which takes inputs from clinical medicine, public health, social determinants of health, wearables, natural language processing and AI to generate highly individualized disease prediction, prevention and early diagnosis. We are a portfolio company of the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Institute of Technology.

In the post-pandemic era, the paradigm is rapidly shifting to favor digitally-enabled, patient-centered, inter-connected healthcare technologies that help clinicians safely deliver personalized, high quality, cost-effective and efficient care. PreMedicus® solves the need for rapid and accurate evaluation and disposition of a mixed population of worried well, sick and injured people contemplating ER care. By bringing order to the fear and confusion associated with acute illness, our digital assistants reduce the potential for medical errors from incorrect information, improve care quality and reduce ER congestion. We liberate and empower the patient-provider relationship by giving patients a voice in their healthcare, and freeing providers to be fully engaged by pre-organizing relevant clinical information.

Our mobile applications (apps) work together to create value for major healthcare stakeholders by digitally streamlining critically important medical and business functions in the acute care setting. These digital tools engage patients in their own care, expedite virtual or in-person evaluation, increase workplace safety, optimize staff workflow, provide patient decision support, shorten reimbursement cycles and provide strategic data insights in the fast paced tele-medicine, urgent and emergency care environments.

Our customers are large employers, insurers, telemedicine providers, ACOs, hospital systems and government health departments seeking to safely manage urgent and emergency care while engaging patients in their own healthcare decision-making.

Product Capabilities

HRS empowers patients to share biometric and health data in real time with their care team. This ranges from the HRS Kit experience, which features an HRS tablet and Bluetooth-enabled peripherals like a scale, pulse oximeter, blood pressure monitor, glucometer, and thermometer. Additionally, cellular-enabled devices (scale, BP monitor, pulse oximeter, glucometer) are available, and for higher acuity care settings, continuous monitoring supports site-of-care transitions and real-time tracking (see other HRS products for more information). HRS also facilitates seamless communication between the patient and clinician through multi-user video calling, bidirectional voice, and text messaging feature. The platform further enhances patient care with educational content, symptom surveys, and medication reminders.

HRS provides a robust suite of analytics to support program success and optimize operations. The platform features patient vital sign algorithms for risk stratification, allowing organizations to set custom alert parameters. Based on these parameters, the system automatically stratifies patients by acuity, from highest to lowest risk. For patients who fall outside of set thresholds or are deemed higher risk, the system generates alerts for clinicians or displays a visual alert within the portal.

HRS' RPM solutions supports on-demand bidirectional voice, video, and messaging – as well as multi-user video calling.

HRS provides a comprehensive offering, built at a third grade reading level, with large iconography, to support the needs of patients of a wide range of literacy levels and ensure that we increase access to care. HRS also supports 16 different languages as part of our solution.

HRS supports over 90+ diagnoses with the clinical content already built, developed and ready to use out of the box. All care plans and symptom surveys are customizable should you wish to adjust or leverage your own questions instead of HRS' questions.

HRS uses bidirectional integrations with a multitude of EMR vendors and supports active integrations with more than a dozen of the top EMR softwares.

HRS offers a complete logistics and inventory management service, including patient onboarding and offboarding, virtual wound consults, reimbursement consulting, 24/7/365 technical support, clinical monitoring, and a comprehensive client success network to help tailor your program and assist your team with all things HRS.

Partnership with HRS grants our partners access to more than 1,800 educational videos and quizzes that can be uploaded onto a patient’s care plan and tablet. HRS also provides disease specific content, curated to provide the highest quality health education for our partners.
